Shaletha Sanders

M.S. - Adjunct Staff

Shaletha Sanders is a native of Columbus, Ohio. She received her undergraduate degree in Criminology and Sociology from The Ohio State University. Additionally, she earned her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. 

 

Mrs. Sanders has exemplified dedication, leadership, and hard-working skills. She has over 22 years of experience working with at risk youth and families. She began her career working with youth and families as a caseworker with Franklin County Children Services. Her career furthered by working with at risk youth and families with Franklin County Domestic Relations & Juvenile Court. 

 

Mrs. Sanders uses a mixture of theoretical orientation to assess, understand, and treat clients. She uses these theoretical orientations to guide her sessions with clients. This is essential in that it helps her understand the needs of clients and to formulate a rationale for specific interventions.

 

Mrs. Sanders exemplifies excellence and is a woman of integrity. She is empathetic, an active listener, and non-judgmental. 

 

Mrs. Sanders believe that self-care is of uttermost important. She encourages clients to take care of their own needs, so they will be equipped and to support others.” Her motto is, “First, put on your own oxygen mask prior to helping others.”
