Karolina Kristoff

M.A.,LPC - Adjunct Staff

A graduate of Walden University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program with a concentration of Forensic Counseling.  Recently completed my intern with Metamorphosis Inc.  I hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a counseling focus from University of Akron and a master’s degree in Forensic Psychology from Tiffin University.

My background consists of working in the mental health field as a case manager in community-based settings. I have worked with severe mental health dual diagnostic individuals, along with coordination of psychiatric hospitalizations. I have 6 plus years of experience working in trauma and crises.

Cognitive-behavioral therapy and Solution-focused therapy are some of the main approaches that I use. I believe the counseling session is optimal when both the individual and therapist can work collaboratively. I find it essential to focus on the individual and their needs, along with developing strengths to assist with coping abilities and resources to build upon future goals. I also encourage mindfulness and self-care throughout the sessions.

My aim is to help each individual gain knowledge and explore areas of their life to help take steps towards their own fulfillment by helping each person find their inner light and grow into the person they aspire to be.
