Mr. Peterson is a highly experienced and credentialed professional with a diverse background in counseling and social work. With over 28 years of clinical experience, he has worked with individuals, families, groups, and couples in various settings, including community-based, residential, and outpatient. His extensive experience has made him culturally competent and equipped with advanced knowledge in working with diverse populations.
Mr. Peterson holds professional licenses in Clinical Counseling and Social Work from The Ohio Counselor and Social Work Board. He has earned two master's degrees, one from The Ohio State University and another from The University of Dayton, where he completed his clinical training. Additionally, he is certified by the American Association of Bariatric Counselors and has completed advanced training in psychological assessment and evaluation at The Ohio State University School Psychology Program.
In his approach to treatment, Mr. Peterson adopts an eclectic approach, integrating various theoretical orientations to meet the unique needs and development of his clients. He utilizes evidence-based intervention designs such as Cognitive Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, which have been proven effective in treating Depression and Anxiety Disorders.
